咖喱牛肉
A rich and flavorful Chinese beef curry.

Ingredients
- •1 (large) onion
- •1 carrot
- •2 potatoes
- •1 garlic
- •1 tbsp butter
- •Water
- •Beef (chuck)
- •Japanese curry block
Instructions
- 1.Peel potatoes and carrot
- 2.Cut potatoes up into bite size chunks and put inside water for 15 minutes
- 3.Cut up carrot into bite size chunk, cut onion up into strips (or dice), mince garlic
- 4.Cut beef up into bite size cubes, put fry inside pan for 2 minutes, then take out of pan
- 5.Melt butter inside pan
- 6.Caramelize onion inside pan (~8 minutes)
- 7.Add minced garlic inside pan and stir for 60 sec
- 8.Add potatoes and carrot into pan, stir for 30 sec
- 9.Add beef chunk into pan, add enough water to barely cover carrots and potatoes
- 10.Simmer for 20 minutes on mid-high heat
- 11.Check whether potatoes are cooked by seeing if you can easily stick chopstick into potato, if not, cook for a bit longer
- 12.Add curry into pan, and cook for another 15 minutes -- add water if necessary
